Privacy Policy — English

1. Who We Are

Ballify is a sports and football-focused social and services application that enables users to create profiles, connect with other users, create and follow teams, discover and book stadiums, organize and participate in matches, view or participate in live streams, exchange messages, interact with posts, use a wallet and digital gifts, purchase virtual coins, subscribe to stadium services, and purchase products through the in-app store.

For privacy purposes, the data controller/operator is: Ballify, operating the Ballify application.

2. Scope of This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the Ballify mobile applications for iOS and Android and to Ballify web experiences where this policy is presented. It explains what information we collect, why we use it, how it may be shared, how we protect it, and the choices and rights available to users.

By using Ballify, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy. Where applicable law requires consent for a particular processing activity, Ballify will request that consent separately.

3. Information We Collect

A. Account and identity information

  • Name, username, email address, password credential information (stored as a password hash rather than the original password), account role, profile photo, cover image, biography, verification status, and account preferences.
  • If you sign in with Google or Facebook, we may receive information made available by the relevant provider, such as your name, email address, profile image, and account/provider identifier as applicable.

B. Content and social activity

  • Posts, captions, images, videos, goal clips, comments, likes, follows, team follows, stadium follows, reviews, shares, and other content or interactions you submit.
  • Messages and chat content, including text and, where enabled, image, video, or voice media.
  • Information about teams you create or join, player roles, team invitations, match participation, and match-related activity.

C. Stadium, booking and business information

  • Stadium names, descriptions, images, location/address information, phone number, services, pricing, availability, ratings, reviews, bookings and booking status.
  • If you operate a stadium, we may process information necessary to manage the stadium listing, services, pricing, availability and bookings.

D. Location information

Ballify may request foreground location permission when you choose location-based features, such as finding nearby teams or stadiums or using your current location when creating or editing a stadium. The reviewed application uses device location APIs for these user-initiated functions. Ballify does not describe this feature as continuous background location tracking.

E. Device, app and notification information

  • Push notification token, platform information (for example iOS, Android or web), notification preferences, and notification interaction data.
  • Technical information necessary to operate, secure and troubleshoot the service, such as authentication/session tokens, request information, error information, and basic app/device context where available.

F. Camera, microphone and media-library information

Depending on the feature you use, Ballify may request access to your camera, microphone, photos/videos or media library. These permissions are used for functions such as profile photos, team and stadium images, social posts, chat attachments, live match streaming, audio commentary, and recording or uploading goal clips. We do not access these resources for unrelated purposes merely because permission is available.

G. Payments, wallet, gifts and orders

  • Wallet balances, transaction types, transaction amounts, currency, transaction status, gift transactions, match earnings, bookings, subscriptions and other financial records necessary to provide the service.
  • For payments processed through a payment gateway such as Paymob, Ballify may provide the payment provider with information required to process the transaction, including contact and order information. Payment-card credentials are handled by the payment provider according to its own terms and privacy policy; Ballify does not store full card numbers or security codes.
  • For purchases made through Google Play Billing — virtual coins and stadium subscriptions on Android — Ballify receives and processes the Google order ID, a purchase token, and an obfuscated account identifier (a one-way hash of your account ID that cannot be reversed to identify you). These are used solely to verify the purchase with Google, grant the purchased coins or subscription, and prevent fraud. Payment details for Google Play purchases are handled entirely by Google under its own terms and privacy policy. Stadium subscriptions auto-renew through your Google Play account and can be cancelled at any time via Google Play → Payments & subscriptions.
  • Virtual coins are an in-app virtual currency. They have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money outside the app, and coin purchases and gift transactions are recorded in an internal transaction ledger tied to your account for accounting and fraud-prevention purposes. Gifts sent with coins to players or stadiums are final once sent.
  • For store purchases, we may process order details, product selections, quantities, sizes/colors, payment status and shipping information such as street, city, country and phone number.

H. Vendor and seller verification information

If you register as a vendor to sell products through the Ballify store, we additionally collect your company name, commercial registration number, national ID or company registration number, a photo or scan of your commercial registration document, and a contact phone number for the business. This information is used solely to verify your business and to review your vendor application. It is stored separately from other account data, with access restricted to your own account and our internal review team, and it is never displayed publicly on your vendor storefront or product listings.

4. How We Use Information

  • Create, authenticate and manage accounts.
  • Provide social, messaging, team, stadium, booking, match, live-streaming, wallet, gifting and store features.
  • Verify vendor applications and manage the vendor marketplace, including commission accounting and debt settlement for vendor accounts.
  • Process bookings, payments, refunds, subscriptions, purchases and financial transactions.
  • Verify purchases server-side with Google Play Billing before granting virtual coins or activating stadium subscriptions, to prevent fraudulent or replayed purchases.
  • Personalize the service, remember preferences and provide relevant notifications.
  • Display user-generated content, profiles, teams, stadium listings, reviews and match information to other users as intended by the feature.
  • Operate, maintain, troubleshoot and improve Ballify, including security, fraud prevention, abuse prevention and service reliability.
  • Communicate with you about your account, bookings, matches, transactions, security events and service updates.
  • Comply with applicable law, enforce our terms and protect the rights, safety and property of Ballify, users and third parties.

5. Legal Bases for Processing

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, Ballify may rely on: performance of a contract or provision of requested services; your consent; compliance with legal obligations; legitimate interests such as security, fraud prevention and service improvement, where permitted; and protection of vital interests where legally recognized.

6. When We Share Information

  • Service providers: infrastructure, database, authentication, cloud media storage/delivery, payment processing, push notifications, analytics or technical support providers, only as reasonably necessary to provide their services.
  • Other users and the public: information and content you intentionally make visible through public profiles, posts, team/stadium pages, reviews, match pages, live streams, comments and similar features.
  • Business and transaction partners: where necessary to complete a booking, payment, refund, purchase, delivery, subscription or other requested transaction.
  • Legal and safety disclosures: when required by law, court order or lawful request, or when reasonably necessary to prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents or harm.
  • Corporate transactions: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, sale of assets or similar transaction, subject to applicable law.

Vendor verification information (national ID, commercial registration number and document) is not shared with other users or the public, and is not shared with service providers except where necessary for our internal review and compliance process.

7. Third-Party Services

The reviewed Ballify implementation includes or is designed to work with third-party services such as Supabase for backend/database services, Cloudinary for media storage/delivery, Paymob for wallet and booking payments, Google Play Billing for processing virtual coin and stadium subscription purchases on Android, Expo push notification services, and Google/Facebook for optional sign-in. These providers may process information under their own terms and privacy policies. Ballify is not responsible for the independent privacy practices of third parties.

8. Public and User-Generated Content

Ballify contains social and community features. If you publish a post, comment, review, team/stadium profile, match content, live stream, goal clip or other content in an area intended to be public, that information may be visible to other users or the public. You should avoid posting personal information about yourself or another person that you do not want others to see.

9. Privacy Settings and User Choices

  • You can update profile information and certain notification preferences from the app.
  • You may enable a private-account setting where supported by the service. A private setting does not necessarily make information invisible when you intentionally share it in public areas or with transaction/service participants.
  • You can deny camera, microphone, photo-library or location permissions through your device settings. Some features will not work without the relevant permission.
  • You can manage or cancel stadium subscriptions purchased through Google Play at any time via your Google Play account (Payments & subscriptions).
  • You can request account deletion through the available account settings or by contacting us.

10. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain your account, complete transactions, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent fraud and comply with legal obligations. Public content may remain available until you delete it or until it is removed under our rules, subject to backups and legal retention requirements. Financial and transaction records — including purchase tokens and order identifiers associated with Google Play purchases — may be retained for the period required by applicable tax, accounting, anti-fraud or other laws. Vendor verification documents (national ID / commercial registration) are retained for as long as the vendor account remains active and for the period required to comply with applicable commercial and tax record-keeping laws after account closure.

11. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction. The reviewed application uses password hashing, token-based authentication, secure storage capabilities, input validation and permission handling. Purchase receipts are bound to your account using a one-way hashed identifier, and every Google Play purchase is verified directly with Google on our servers before any coins or subscription benefits are granted. Vendor verification information is stored in a restricted-access table that is not exposed through any public API and is readable only by the vendor's own account or our internal review process. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. International Data Transfers

Ballify and its service providers may process or store information in countries other than the country in which you live. Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, we will use appropriate mechanisms required by that law.

13. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access your personal information, correct inaccurate information, request deletion, object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, request portability, and lodge a complaint with the competent data-protection authority. To exercise a right, contact Sayedxeldagwey@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

14. Children's Privacy

Ballify is not intended for children who are below the minimum age permitted to use the service under applicable law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal information improperly, contact us at Sayedxeldagwey@gmail.com so that we can investigate and take appropriate action.

15. Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your Ballify account by using the deletion feature in the application where available or by contacting Sayedxeldagwey@gmail.com with the email address associated with your account and the subject line "Account Deletion Request". We will act on account and data deletion requests submitted this way even if you no longer have the application installed. Deletion may not immediately remove information that we must retain for legal, security, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution or financial-record purposes. Content that you have shared with other users may also have been copied, shared or incorporated into other users' content, to the extent permitted by the service.

16. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in Ballify, applicable law, technology or our data practices. We will post the updated policy in the application or on the relevant website and update the effective date. Where legally required, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent.
